Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Obnoxious Media has been made aware that another Northern California preacher is up to so serious bad behavior. Pastor Lavell Jones has been accused of sexual harassment by Leslie Michelle Johnson. The is the second pastor from Northern California to be the subject of the Obnoxious Blog for his bad boy behavior and coming on to the ladies. The first was Hubert Garnett who is a Moderator for the Home and Foreign Mission District of the National Baptist Convention. Lavell like Garnett, who is also an officer in a district, in fact he is the General Secretary of the St. John District Association of California and Rev. Ray Williams is the Moderator. According to sources close to the matter say Rev. Williams has done more covering up of the horrible behavior of a number of preachers than he has done for the Lord. It has been stated the Lavell has been the subject of a great deal of negative conversation for sometime and even has been taken to court in the past by churches for his mistaking church funds for his own personal money. Sources close to the shamed pastor have revealed that Rev. Lavell Jones is a candidate to be Pastor of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church where the Late Rev. C.L. Cobb was the Pastor.
In the letter written by Leslie to Deacon Doug Jones she clearly states how Lavell has allegedly conducted himself in the most inappropriate manner and consistently made unwanted advances to her even in the presence of others. Currently he serves as Pastor of Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Stockton, California. The letter gives detailed information on more than five occasions over course of the past year that alleged advances have been made to Leslie and even in front of others and his own wife. In Leslie’s letter she accuses him of having said some sexual things to her over the speaker phone where her son could hear the alleged sexually suggestive comments. In fact as a result of that conversation Lavell was confronted by the Leslie’s husband and her son. Rumor has it that Lavell Jones may have withdrawn his name from consideration by Harmony or was asked to step out of the running due to the allegations in the very letter that was shared with Obnoxious Media.
During two different conversations with Lavell Jones he made it clear that he had filed a defamation of character law suit against the author and he was no longer seeking to be considered to pastor Harmony.
“I have been advised not to speak on this matter sir due to the advice of my legal counsel, Lavell said.
“If you have any further questions direct them to Rev. Ray Williams,” he continued.
Rev. Ray Williams stated he had heard about the letter, but he had not read it. He went say that he had not yet decided or had enough information to determine if he was going to remove Lavell Jones as the General Secretary of the district.

Deacon Doug Jones:
My name is Leslie Michelle Johnson and I am writing you today to inform of the inappropriate action of the Pastor of Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Lavell Jones.
On several occasions I have been offended by none like the one I just recently encountered. The very first time was on our way home from Oceanside, CA. where Pastor Jones had to preach an my group has to sing. On our way back home he pulls over on the side of the freeway and asked Latesha White to change vehicles with him. We could not understand why but there was nothing that we could do about it. In our vehicle was all females; myself, Teara Payton, Marquesa Wright, Lacreisha Brown, and Nitara Montgomery. In the other cehicle it was just Roy McKenzie. He gout in the truck with us an he asked me if I had a man I told him I was married. He said oh I bet you put it down in the bedroom probably have a striper pole in your room and everything. I looked at Marquesa in bewilderment and told him don’t worry about my business in my bedroom. I put my earphones in my ear and laid my head back on the seat until we arrived back in Stockton.
In October of 2011, it was brought to my attention that he said something inappropriate about me during a musician’s rehearsal the night of the church anniversary. When I arrived there, Pastor Jones said “Les, I don’t know what you did to Corey (Corey Salter), but he got mad at me because I said on little thing about you. You must’ve done gave him “some” (sexual intercourse) form him to be man at me like that.” I told him that I haven’t give Corey anything but whatever you said must’ve been bad enough for him to get mad at you like that. He is one my brother’s best friends and we have known each other for a very long time. If it offended him I know It would have made me mad. Glad I wasn’t there when he said it.
In September of 2012, Lavell Jones has to preach in Oakland and sand before he preached. After church ht took us all to eat at Denny’s Restaurant. At our table it was Roy McKenzie, Teara Payton, Romney Sears, Lacreisha Brown and myself. He pulled out his pone, while his wife looked over in your direction and showed a video of 2 naked women shaking their behinds all while we were sitting there waiting for our food to arrive.
On October 21, 2012 Lavel Jones has a small birthday BBQ at his house after church. I called Marquesa Wright on her cell phone after I got out of church to find out where she was because she was supposed to ride with me to Modesto, CA because we had a 3 o’clock service to sing at. While I was on the phone with her Pastor Jones asked her she was talking to and she told him it was me. He took the phone away from her and proceeded to tell me that he could make me want to leave my husband and that he would have me looking for him in the daylight with a flashlight. He then walked outside with her phone. I figured that out because it got very quiet in comparison to the noise that I heard in the background when he was in that house. What he didn’t know was that he was on the Bluetooth speakerphone system in my car that plays incoming and outgoing phone calls through all the speaker in the car and anyone in the car can hear the whole conversation. He said to me, “I eat a mean coochie.” I sat there with my mouth open and looked at my oldest son who was sitting next to me. My son said, “What did he say momma? I said you hear him. Pastor Jones is out of control. He said, that was Pastor Jones? OMG (Oh my God) He is out of pocket for that. A preacher? For real mom?” I said you heard it yourself. Pastor Jones hands Marquesa back her phone and says loud enough to where I could hear, that he was no problem with talking around all day with the smell of me on his lips and then he proceeded to suck on his fingers as if saying finger licking good.
On October 27, 2012, I walked across the parking lot of Greater Faith Baptist Church to met my brother Langston Johnson Sr. who has been a member there his whole life. I stopped and hugged my brother and he noticed I had something stuck to my lip gloss. As he picked it off, Pastor Jones yells form the top of the ramp, “Langston get your hand off my wife.” My brother looked a me and I shook my head and asked where is the actual wife and my brother said she in sitting in church. We both shook our head and walked in church.
On Tuesday, October 30, 2012, I went home and told my husband what happened and he got furious and he and my oldest son went to the church to confront Pastor Jones about what was said to me. My husband seen Lavell and asked him if he was Pastor Jones and Lavell said yes and he told him well I am Leslie’s husband and I need to holler at you about some things. Pastor Jones tells him to step in to my office and my husband said no. My husband said that is this about you telling my wife you want to eat her and you can make her leave me. Lavell said why would I say something like that and my son told him I heard you because I bet you didn’t know you were on speakerphone in the car. Lavell’s eyes got big an he took off walking fast outside the car as my husband and son followed. My husband told him don’t you ever say another word about my wife or to my wife. When you see her in the grocery store act like you don’t even know who she I or I am going to come back up here. My husband and my son get in the care and come home.
I got a phone call Saturday morning telling me that he told his deacons that my husband showed up at his house and invaded his privacy when in fact my husband met him a the church. That was a complete lie. I got another phone call telling me that he told the deacons that I threw myself at him and he just went with my advances. That infuriated me which is the reason why I showed up at church on Sunday morning and confronted Lavell myself. This brought me to tears because non of this ever happened. I feel degraded and sexually harassed by a man that stands up in the pulpit and preaches one thing and lives a total different life. My name has been slandered by him and I do not take that lightly. To my understanding there have been more women that this has happened to and nothing was done about it. My husband Lawrence and my father who is Pastor Larry Montgomery both told me that I can no longer go to or sing at Greater Faith Baptist Church because of Lavell Jones. This hurt me the most because that place is my second home. I was born and raised in that church. My parents were married in that church and now I can’t go back. This is just wrong and I would not take this laying down. He is not going to run me out of there like the other women that left. Something needs to be done about this and if it’s not done in a TIMELY MANNER, I will take further action and get legal representation. This is not a threat, this is a promise. A sexual harassment and slander lawsuit would not look good for Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church. The church name has already made the Stockton Record behind Lavell Jones and it wasn’t presented in a good light. Just thing what the reputation of the church would be once this story hits front page of the local paper.
