EVERYTHING IS GOING DOWN, BUT THE WORD OF GOD & DRUG DEALERS AND KILLERS STRIKE AGAIN……A terrible combination child pornography meets the church. Such filth should not be named among the Saints. A 27-year-old youth minister at an Oakdale church was taken into custody Monday morning on suspicion of possessing child pornography.
Tyler Bliss was arrested after officers with the Ceres Police Department served warrants at the Bethel Assembly of God Church and at a home in Oakdale where Bliss lives with his family.
Computers and other electronic devices from the church and house were seized by officers.
Investigators found “images depicting children in sexual acts,” said Carrissa Higginbotham, of Ceres police. “Images of children who appear to be under the age of 13.”
Bliss was booked at the Stanislaus County Jail.
When asked whether officials believe that Bliss played a role in creating the images, or if they were solely in his possession, Higginbotham said, “we do not know at this time. We are currently investigating that to determine the source of the images.”
Ceres police is investigating the case because its high-tech crimes task force serves all of Stanislaus County. The unit is partially funded by Measure H, a half-cent sales tax specifically for improving public safety.
“It’s sad because you’re supposed to trust the ministry,” said David Casous, a man who lives near the church and recognized Bliss from his mugshot. “I’m a God fearing person. If you can’t trust a man of God, who are you going to trust?”
No other details about the case have been released by police.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Ceres Police Department at 209-538-5627.
