Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Although, we were in Houston all weekend covering the NBA All Star our good members of the Obnoxious Street Committee were yet busy at work. Late Sunday Night it was brought to Mr. Obnoxious attention about a Facebook rant that Pastor Robert L. Carpenter was having about his 16 year-old son playing the organ at Bishop G. E. Hutchinson church in Florida. It seems that his son was not going to be able to play at church on Sunday due to his being out of town with his father, Pastor Carpenter in Atlanta and did not see fit to tell his uncle and employer until the day before that he would not be at church to play. Well, Bishop Hutchinson was teaching the boy responsibility, something obviously he is not getting at home, by telling him if he was not going to be there he was never going to have to worry about coming back. All of this did not rest well with Robert Carpenter and he took to Facebook to vent his frustration.
Rumor as it that Carpenter is going to fly to Florida to confront Bishop Hutchinson face to face. This one promises to be good because the only fight better than a church fight is a old fashion knock out drag out family fight and this one is a combination of the two!

Even though he was my pastor growing up and even though I don’t agree with Bishop Hutchinson on many issues I always respected him as a seasoned man of God. That respect was lost TOTALLY today. Im SO disappointed.

I have spoken to the Bishop. He admitted to me in the presence of his Assistant Pastor exactly what he said. I told him how my son was hurt and obviously misled. He refuses to apologize. However, I found out my sister Sheila was the initiator of everything. I came to her house to speak to her and after her husband let me in the house as soon as I sat down she called the she called the police acting as if there is an “intruder” in her house AND she wasnt sure if the intruder had a weapon.

I’m hurt and disappointed in my sister and the Bishop for admittedly doing what they did to my son. But this is not about me. This is about a gifted 16yo child who was completely hurt and devastated by a pastor and aunt that he trusted wholeheartedly. Ill handle for this him AND the voiceless others who have been hurt in the church with no recourse. Pray for THEM.

Forgive me for my deliberate actions of broadcasting to the world. As a Father 1st and a Pastor next I am OVER innocent people being hurt and messed up in the church with no real accountability for the perpetrator. The straw that happened to break the camel’s back was my child. And ANY parent worth more than nickel would react to an adult harming their child. So, pray my strength in the Lord. lol
