Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……If you profess salvation then why you want to look and act like the world?  The problem is that we are not seeing images of people in the world conforming to the church, but we use the excuse of TV and these so called opportunities to act like the world.  It was nothing about Christ in this preacher getting a tattoo on TV.  It really brought shame to his ministry and the church!

A prominent New York City pastor shocked many viewers by getting a tattoo in his own church during a recent episode of VH1’s Black Ink Crew.

Rev. Michael Walrond, who appeared for only a few minutes at the opening of Monday’s episode, started out providing advice to cast member Dutchess and then rolled up his t-shirt sleeve for his tattoo.
By the time Dutchess completed her handiwork, the 44-year-old pastor had “I am the embodiment of infinite possibilities” tattooed on his upper right arm.
And many Twitter users, who made #BlackInkCrew a trending topic, were not pleased.
“The pastor is getting a tattoo?! What a contradiction #BlackInkCrew,” tweeted @ShaniceAliciaa.
“What kinda pastor gets a tattoo? #BlackInkCrew,” tweeted @IamSoniaGrace.
“Wait a tatted pastor? Isn’t there something in the bible about marking ones body? #blackinkcrew,” tweeted @Verbose_KV.
But Walrond, who has 10 tattoos and an Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. brand, told theGrio.com that the “critics don’t faze him.”
“I’ve gotten to a point in my life where I live the life that God created me to live, and I do that by honoring God, by serving God and by being faithful to the call that I believe God has placed on my life,” said the pastor of Harlem’s popular First Corinthian Baptist Church.
According to the church website, its membership has grown from 300 members to 9,000 members in a 10-year period under Walrond’s leadership.
As for critics who contend Walrond’s actions contradict the words of the Bible, the pastor remained unfazed.
“We are very selective when we use certain portions of the Bible to critique or judge other people,” he said. “It’s amazing how those who claim to be Christian, who raise critique or judgment, say, ‘Isn’t it somewhere in the Bible that you are not to mark your body?’ The same way, I could say Jesus says, ‘Judge not, lest ye be judged.’”
Walrond said he agreed to do the show after being first approached by church member Maria Davis, who was also tattooed on the show by Dutchess. He said Davis told him the reality show was interested in having him on as well.
He agreed, especially after seeing Davis’ moving appearance on the show in 2013.
Davis, a HIV/AIDS awareness activist who has lived with AIDS since 1998, spoke to the staff at the Black Ink Tattoo Studio about the disease and got an HIV/AIDS awareness ribbon tattoo.
Dutchess said during the episode with Walrond that she was doing his tattoo at the church because she didn’t want him to deal with the “chaotic environment” at the shop.

But Walrond said the show used the church for the segment because the Black Ink shop wasn’t available because it was under renovation.

Walrond’s had the tat for over a year now. The brief scene was shot in June 2014, he said.
During that time, Walrond was in the midst of a Democratic primary race for New York’s 13th Congressional District. He picked up about eight percent of the vote in a losing effort to Rep. Charles Rangel.
Still, not everyone slammed Walrond’s ink.
Twitter user @KayAyeEye tweeted, “nothing wrong with a pastor/minister having a tattoo.”
“Pastor Mike YASS #blackinkcrew his tat is dope,” tweeted @FirstLadyBri34
“I don’t why people are so shocked that a pastor getting a tattoo. What’s wrong with that?? #blackinkcrew,” tweeted @RayTheDreamer__.
As for Walrond, commonly called ‘Pastor Mike’ by his congregants, he just wants to be himself.
“The one thing I won’t be is disingenuous to myself. I always want to try to be authentically me,” he said, adding that he also enjoys riding his Harley Davidson. “I have to be who I am. I just happen to be this person.”
His two college-aged children both have tattoos, as does his wife, Lakeesha, also a pastor at the church.
“When you put yourself in the public sphere, you expect criticism,” he said. “I’ve been through fire. That campaign last year wore me out.”
This wasn’t the first time a reality show visited First Corinthian Baptist Church.
Diddy brought the women of Making the Band 3 to the church 10 years ago, the pastor said.

Rappers are known for being outspoken. Wacka Flocka is no exception to that rule. He had a no holds barred interview with a popular morning show and went all in on what he thought was immoral.

Waka says people who change from men to women and vice versa are “evil.”
He believes what Caitlyn and others like her have done is “rebuking God,” and they’ve given in to “the devil playing tricks on” their minds. Wacka’s upset that Jenner and others send messages on TV to impressionable kids … and adults need to be more responsible.For some Christians, helping people to transition from one gender to another is a compassionate response to a deeply-felt need. Others are profoundly uncomfortable about the theological implications of such interventions. Many evangelical Christians have serious theological doubts about the procedures, and about the increasing normalization of the ‘transgendered’ identity.
It is funny that he said this due to the rumors that he was looking to do homosexual porn before his music career took off.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……It seems the rumors are true that the Bishop Oakley Memorial Church Of God In Christ has been lost due to forecloser.  It seems that Pastor Derek Remson has lost a church that had been paid for years ago.  

Mother Ireane Oakley pastored the church after her husband died and it was passed to Maria Gariner, who pastored the church until she married Bishop Langston and relocated to San Francisco.

I don’t have all the details, but was told that the officers agreed unanimously to sell to a developer to avoid foreclosure. Koreans purchased the property and have plans of putting a school there. Nobody knows if they are going to gut the building or tear it down. 

I was told that when Maria married Fatty (Nickname of her ex-husband) he was chairman of the finance committee and they manipulated and sold Mother Oakley’s home in Wyncote (that was supposed to be left to the church as a parsonage for visiting Evangelist), mortgaged the church and purchased a $750,000 home in New Jersey. Her daughter and son in law live their now. The other version is that Derek Rimsom mortgaged the church and sold the two buildings the church owned and misappropriated the funds. His wife is trying to kick off this singing career and monies were poured into that as well. 

I couldn’t determined who are the current officers except two: Deacon Govan and Deacon Vaughn Newman both of which who were there with Mother Oakley.

Well well well Derek is t it again. Tht good ole church BMO that he renamed to kingdon dominion cathedral is about to shut down because of a foreclosure. Derek is a ripoff and his wife is just as bad! They know d*** well tht church about to close and not saying anything to no one. His wife sitting around eating rice Krispie treat trying to start a singing career that’s going no further than where its at. How is she doing the very lil traveling she doing and the church she and Derek are pastoring is about to be shut down! They dnt care about no one but self and that’s it and Maria Gardner dne married her fourth husband sitting up in Cali mad because she thought she was marrying a man with money has enough but not enough to keep up with how she was living. She in Cali not caring about nothing concerning BMO they are all going to hell! They selfish and full of it! And the people that are defending derek on this site prob tht lil f*g Torrin tht lives with them and waits on them like marry the maid he sad too, he wants to be in so and he’ll get treated like a salve By them. Maria couldn’t stand him or his mother back in the day and Terry talks about his mother often. si between the blessed man and the other thts derek himself and tyt Torrin kid. Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God meets Drug Dealers And Killers Strike Again……A man suspected of shooting three people in an Alabama church was likely upset over a recent breakup and visitation issues with his son, police said.

James Junior Minter, 26, is being held without bond in the shooting of his girlfriend, his infant son and a pastor who tried to intervene Sunday morning, according to Selma police Lt. Curtis Muhannad. The pastor has been identified as Earl Carswell.
Minter was arrested after he opened fire during church service at Oasis Tabernacle Church in East Selma, Alabama.
  
The Montgomery Advertiser reported that the pastor is white and the two victims are black. But Jackson said race was not a factor in the shooting, the Associated Press reported.

Witnesses told police that Minter entered the church and sat in the front row between his girlfriend and the baby, according to a statement released by the Selma Police Department. Minter then pulled out a handgun and started shooting, the statement said. The girlfriend, 24, fell to the ground, and Minter fired at her, striking her in the jaw and shoulder. The baby, a 1-month-old boy, was shot in the hand.
Carswell, 61, then grabbed Minter and was shot in the leg. Members of the congregation helped subdue Minter and managed to wrest away his gun, according to police. Minter then ran out of the church.
The pastor was taken to a local emergency room for treatment, while the woman and baby were taken to a hospital in Birmingham. The victims are in stable condition.

After he fled the scene, Minter was captured by police less than a mile away. His vehicle was left at the scene and a gun was recovered at the church, the statement said.
Minter is being held at the Dallas County jail. The Selma Police Department said Minter has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and may face other charges.
Minter had been arrested before but details on the nature of his past encounters with police weren’t immediately available, Muhannad said. Authorities are also investigating whether Minter violated a protective order, Muhannad said.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Maria Gardner Langston issues an official response on the loss of Bruce Madison Oakley Memorial Temple COGIC.  Still as executive pastor Maria dispelles rumors that her son-in-law, Derek has done something unethical.  She explains that it has been a struggle to hang on to the church for some time and even while she was the full time pastor.  Now married and relocated to San Francisco Maria says their is a time and season for everything and this is a season for them to move.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Pope Francis was here last week. You would have had to be under a rock to not know that. He delighted tens of thousands of people crowded onto a thoroughfares in three major cities. He joyfully went off script delivering a folksy, funny commentary. All these things are similar to what TD Jakes, Joel Osteen and Rick Warren do in their mega-churches.

The mega-pastors chimed their support of the 78-year-old pontiff. Unfortunately, their followers were none too happy.

The crowing began with people saw the posted picture of Rick Warren and Bishop TD Jakes attending the welcoming dinner.

A special thanks to President Obama for his VIP invitation to attend such a historical event. As the world watches this international figure move through our country, let’s pray that the Pope’s journey is safe! At a time when so little is said positive about faith in our country, let’s pray for his safe passage regardless of our differences of views about faith. It is our LOVE that’s on trial here and our understanding of the question; Who is my neighbor? By the way, my wife First Lady Serita Jakes and I, tried to represent our faith, church and country with dignity and respect!

Rick Warren’s followers were a little more forgiving, chiming in that Rick should introduce the Pope to Jesus. Rick gave a talk at the Meeting of The Families event this weekend. The Meeting if the Families was actually the reason the pope came. Pastor Rick Warren gave the final keynote address of the World Meeting of Families conference, sharing the stage with Cardinal Sean O’Malley of Boston, in Philadelphia.
One person was so insulted by Warren’s actions over the weekend the individual wrote:
Pastor Rick Warren has not only failed to recognize the problems in these serious areas but also he has lent his credibility as a Protestant pastor in support of the Roman Catholic Church. This should never be done by any Protestant pastor who takes the Bible seriously. I must conclude that Mr. Warren does not take the Word of God seriously and/or he does not understand the damnable teachings of Roman Catholicism regarding salvation. Rick Warren needs to repent.”
Meanwhile, Joel Osteen who didn’t attend anything was subjected to criticism for saying to the Christian Post:

I like the Pope. I like that he’s making the Catholic Church more open to bring people in and not exclude them. He’s a man of the people. I like what he stands for — humility, reaching out to others and he’s not so formal that people can’t relate to him.

His followers really vented! One follower responded, ‘I seriously call upon you to repent of your sin and seek forgiveness from our God for your heresy to the Christian Faith.’

Herman Jackson called himself a modest servant in the kingdom of God.  However, it seems according to his Facebook page that he has a prision ministry now.  The post must be updated by someone he is in touch with to give the appearance that he is not in prision.

The self-described “bishop” earned a new title Wednesday in the courtroom of U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman.
“You are a convicted felon as of now,” Coleman told him, moments after a jury found Jackson guilty of fraud.
For more than a decade, Jackson built “nothing short of a fraud empire, brick by brick,” a federal prosecutor said earlier.
Assistant U.S. Attorney William Ridgway called on the jury this week to finally “mark an end” to the scheming of the high-rolling Cicero preacher who called himself the bishop of a struggling church, lived in a Georgia mansion, and warned Coleman two years ago about the “wrath of God.”
After more than a full day of deliberations, the jury obliged. It convicted Jackson and his wife, Jannette Faria, on every count in an indictment that accused them of fraud and lying to the feds. Moments later, Coleman ordered Jackson taken into federal custody until sentencing based on the “total history” of his case.
Jackson, who dismissed his attorney three days into his two-week trial and represented himself through closing arguments, faces a significant prison term at a sentencing hearing set for Dec. 21. He showed no visible reaction as the judge read aloud the 13 “guilty” verdicts against him. He later embraced his wife, who was convicted of eight counts, before U.S. marshals led him away.
Matt McQuaid, who represented Jackson for years and served as stand-by counsel throughout the trial, declined to comment after the verdict. His former client contended that he’d been targeted unfairly by local, state and federal agencies.
Faria’s lawyer said she planned to appeal.
“While I respect this jury’s decision, I disagree strongly that there was enough evidence to prove Jannette Faria was a knowing participant in the fraud, and we intend to appeal the verdict,” attorney Heather Winslow said.
The feds accused the couple of scamming hundreds of thousands of dollars in child-care subsidies out of Illinois through day care centers connected to Jackson’s church, the Ark of Safety Apostolic Faith Temple. Inspectors complained the centers were infested with roaches, lacked hot water and smelled of urine. They said they even found electrical cords submerged in water.
Following the couple’s 2012 indictment, Jackson found himself living inside his red-brick Cicero church building after no family or friends were willing or able to take him in. Coleman eventually let him move to Georgia in 2013 while awaiting trial. But she only did so after shooting down multiple requests from Jackson.
In his most memorable stunt, Jackson used the Chicago Sun-Times to send a message to Coleman after she initially refused to let him reunite with his family down south.
“Because of Judge Sharon Coleman’s continual mocking of God’s ecclesiastical order and the sanctity of family/marriage, the wrath of Gold almighty shall soon visit her home,” Jackson told a reporter.
Jackson later said the comment was not a threat. He offered a rambling apology to the black judge, called her a “Nubian queen” and denied that the “wrath” he referred to meant “blowing everything up.”
“It is the wrath of a father chastening a daughter or a son,” he said in 2013. “My God told me that he would talk to you about me being separated from my wife.”
The Sun-Times later revealed that Jackson, despite the financial struggles of his church, had once lived in a Georgia mansion boasting seven bedrooms, five fireplaces and a three-car garage in one of Atlanta’s most desirable areas. His attorney said Jackson had roommates to help split the $6,000 monthly rent four ways.
But Jackson was the only tenant on the lease, and that document authorized only the preacher and his family to live there. Jackson signed it four months before his fraud ended in the Chicago area in August 2011. He would be evicted the following spring. Court records also show Jackson has had two Mercedes — one bought in his Cicero church’s name — and a Jaguar. A bankruptcy filing showed a Bentley was repossessed from the church in 2009.
In Cicero, prosecutors said Jackson “flooded” an agency working with Illinois with “dozens and dozens” of documents filled with “clear, black and white lies” in order to put their hands on state child-care subsidy money.
“Once the spigot was on, the defendants did whatever they could to put it on full blast,” Ridgway said this week.
Jackson kept a Bible by his side as he called and cross-examined witnesses throughout the trial. He told jurors during his closing argument that several witnesses lied on the stand. But he focused his ire on FBI Special Agent Laura Miller, repeatedly pointing to her in the courtroom and calling her a liar. He even chanted her name at one point over a prosecutor’s objections.
The preacher claimed he had an agreement with parents who enrolled children at his church’s day care centers to bill the state even for days the children didn’t attend. And he said he used aliases like “Henry Walker” and “Henry Richmond” to hide his identity because of discrimination he’d experienced from Cicero and Illinois officials.
But Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Madden ultimately convinced the jury that Jackson was “the biggest liar in this courtroom.”
“He is buried in incriminating evidence,” Madden said.

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, showered Pope Francis with love and appreciation while serenading His Holiness with her rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’ in front of thousands of excited spectators at the Festival of Families in Philadelphia on Sept. 26. Click to WATCH!

Aretha Franklin, 73, didn’t hold back while serenading her sweet and soulful version of “Amazing Grace” to Pope Francis, 78, at the Festival of Families in Philadelphia on Sept. 26 with the help of a gospel choir. The inspiring and charismatic Pontiff was all smiles as hundreds of thousands of excited attendees watched on. 
Aretha, the daughter of civil rights activist and preacher C.L. Franklin, sang “Amazing Grace” to Pope Francis and sounded just as incredible as ever. The singer belted out the high notes to the hit song while the Pope watched on. Aretha has and always will be a music legend! Pope Francis was honored in front of a crowd of over 300,000 people at the Festival of Families hosted by Mark Wahlberg.
The all-star lineup included included Aretha, Andrea Bocelli, Colombian singer Juanes, The Fray and Sister Sledge, who performed the befitting “We Are Family.” The message of the night focused on the importance of family, with Pope Francis telling the enthusiastic crowd, “In the family, there are difficulties, but those difficulties are overcome with love. Love is about celebration, love is joy, love is moving forward.”
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Pope Francis held an evening mass at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Sept. 25. Celebrities in attendance at what was dubbed “A Journey of Faith” included Harry Connick, Jr., Jennifer Hudson, and Gloria Estefan. Jennifer sang her rendition of “Hallelujah” while Harry performed “How Great Thou Art”.
Although, feelings about the Pope is rapidly changing now that it has been revealed that he met with Kim Davis.  Davis was jailed for refusing to sign a marriage license for a gay couple.  Many do not understand why she still has her job is because she is an elected official and will have to be impeached by the Kentucky General Assembly.  Of all the people he would have met with why her?  The Pope’s people knew this was controversial, which is why they kept it a secret.  How do you feel about his meeting with Kim Davis?

Everything Is Going Down, Bit The Word Of God meets Drug Dealers And Killers Strile Again……A longtime South Side pastor was charged with sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl in his office during a counseling session in 2014.

Prosecutors said the alleged victim and her mother confronted George Waddles, 67, who heads Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, and secretly recorded his admissions to inappropriately touching the teen.
Waddles turned himself in to Chicago police Tuesday and made “a positive disclosure” to a detective that was consistent with the girl’s story, said Assistant State’s Attorney Tara Pease-Harkin. He was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony that carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison or probation on conviction.
Judge Donald Panarese Jr. ordered Waddles released on his own recognizance but barred him from any contact with minors.
Waddles’ wife, daughter and son attended the bond hearing at the Leighton Criminal Court Building along with other pastors and supporters.
Waddles’ attorney, Lewis Myers Jr., blasted the case, saying a Department of Children and Family Services investigation did not sustain the girl’s claims and that she and her mother continued to attend church and counseling after the alleged incident.
“These charges should never have been filed,” Myers later said outside the courtroom.
Myers said in court that Waddles has been preaching for 35 years and holds a master’s degree in social work. He founded a training conference for those involved in Christian education called the Biblical Exposition Conference, according to an online biography. He is past president of several Christian education groups, including the Baptist General State Congress of Christian Education in Illinois and the National Baptist Congress.
Pease-Harkin said that Waddles had been investigated in the 1990s on allegations he had sexually abused a young girl in his office but that no criminal charges were filed against him.
Prosecutors said the alleged victim has known Waddles since she was 3 and started to be counseled by him when she turned 13 in 2011.
A year later, he told her he had dreamed about her and asked her to lift her shirt up for him, but she refused, Pease-Harkin said.
He tried to give her a hug and kiss her neck on five to 10 other occasions when she was in his church office at 1460 W 78th St., according to the prosecutor.
Once, in 2014, Waddles asked the girl to sit on his lap, and when she did, he kissed her neck and touched her underneath her underwear, Pease-Harkin said. The girl then left his office and about a month later told her mother what had happened, she said.
The two then confronted Waddles in a meeting at the church. He allegedly confessed and apologized, according to the prosecutor.
At a second meeting between July 2014 and February 2015, the girl and her mother met with Waddles and his wife and recorded his alleged admission, Pease-Harkin said.
Waddles asked them not to contact police, the prosecutor said.

Lamar Odom may have gotten the miracle his loved ones have been praying for. Several news outlets, including E! News, are reporting that the former NBA player has emerged from his coma and even communicated with his wife Khloé Kardashian, making eye contact with her and saying “hey baby.”

Let it be know that he spent $75,000 to hang out in a whore house with trashy white women for three days doing coke, liquid Viagra, Henessey, and Lord knows what else.  The money could have feed a lot of hungry people housed the homeless and a number of other positive things.  So the junkie has opened his eyes and now life goes on with a serious wake up call.  How embarrassing for the world to know you are a junkie and a freak?  He had been there three days and was planning to stay longer if he had not had the near death over dose.

Earlier today, TMZ reported that Odom’s heart began responding, raising hopes for his survival. Doctors said Odom’s heart functioning is “much better” than yesterday and that it’s a good sign of improvement that a critical organ is responding. It was also reported that he squeezed Kim Kardashian’s hand at some point last night and may have asked to see his kids.

As of last night, Odom was breathing through a ventilator with virtually no chance of recovery, and his family was preparing for the end. A family source told TMZ that Odom was in “dire straights” and was “entirely unresponsive” on Thursday. 
Though these hopeful new developments by no means indicate that Odom is out of the woods, it seems to be giving doctors and his loved ones renewed hope for his survival.
Odom experienced multiple organ failure due to heavy drug use during his three-day binge at a Nevada brothel. His condition had been steadily deteriorating since he was admitted on Tuesday night, giving doctors few options and leaving a tough decision in the hands of his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian.
Odom’s family, including his father, Joe, his ex-wife, Liza Morales, and their two children, Destiny and Lamar Jr., arrived at his side on Thursday. Several of Odom’s celebrity friends, including Kobe Bryant and Rev. Jesse Jackson, have visited the hospital. Others have expressed their sentiments to the press and on social media, with Oprah Winfrey saying she is “devastated” at the news.
Hopefully the love surrounding Odom will see him through.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Well, this one bishop seems to stay a subject on my blog.  Bishop Larry Trotter does not disappoint with is sandals making for great post.  In fact some of our record braking post the have gone viral were about Bishop Larry Trotter (Bishop Larry Trotter Gets Married!).  So we have been hearing that Larry is headed for divorce court!  Purportedly he and Mildred could not even make it two years.  Mildred for the west side of Chicago is not said to be a sweet innocent chick, but one that likes to fight, kiss ass, and take names and is just as good at it as she sings and preaches.  Mildred’s reputation precedes her and goes back to her first husband and their tumultuous marriage while they were members of DeAndre Patterson’s church. 

Well, last year Trotter was posting silly lies that he had Mildred expecting twins (WTF! Bishop Larry Trotter And His Wife Mildred Expecting Twins), but as sickly as he is we seriously doubt Trotter could get it up if his life depended on it.  If he did most likely he would probably land in the hospital in just as bad state as Lamar Odom.  According to members of out Obnoxious Street Committee that are members of Sweet Holy Spirit Mildred has been persona non grata for at least six weeks.  Now what kind of mess is that for a so called First Lady to hang out of church that long?  However, the members are said to be coming back to the church now that she is gone.  Sources say Trotter had dropped form three services to two, but now that the evil Wicked Witch of the West is gone he might go back to three.  

You must be wondering just what has caused the so-called lovebirds to part ways.  Now that is where the story get confusing.  Some say that Mildred caught Larry Trotter doing something inappropriate and others say they have just not gotten along for some time now.  However, Larry Trotter told a fellow Bishop in the Lord’s Church that Mildred jumped on him and beat him up.  Now we know Larry is not in the best of health and far to weak to take the serious ass whipping that Mildred administered.  She could have made him have another stroke.  According to the Bishop it was bad and he could just not deal with it anymore and was getting a divorce.  Obnoxious Media called and texted Larry Trotter’s but received no response.  We believe he has blocked out numbers and we are not going to break our neck to reach him by using other phones.

Church in Baltimore, Maryland says that while Daystar Christian Television Broadcasting Network has not rebuked any of the Christian evangelicals who affirmed and prayed for Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump to become the next president of the United States, even though Donald Trump is inarguably divisive and has made cruel remarks about Women, Asians, Japanese, Blacks, Hispanics, and others, the network sent him a letter which he quoted this Sunday morning read as follows:

Daystar Television: ” We are writing to cancel Dr. Bryant from being on our program. At this time we do not feel comfortable with his comments speaking about Dr. Ben Carson nor are we comfortable with his association with Louis Farrakhan.  Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God meets Drug Dealers And Killers Strike Again……Authorities are determining if a Detroit pastor will be charged after they say he fatally shot someone in his church this past Sunday. Police say the victim, 25-year-old Deante Smith, was shot at four to five times by the pastor of The City of God church on Grand River Avenue.

Friends of Smith’s say the pastor is 36-year-old Keon Allison, and that Smith apparently had gone to the church to confront the pastor about having an affair with his wife. That’s when police say Smith attacked the church leader with a brick.
“I know the event that happened Sunday could have been prevented, and my friend’s dead and we got the pastor I looked up to as being pointed at,” says Smith’s friend, Jamie Warfield.
We’re told Smith was a standout on the football team, helping the Michigan Lightning semi-pro football team win the Crossroads championship in 2014. Friends say he was a positive force on the team. They say the story police are telling about what happened at the church during Sunday service seems so out of Smith’s character.

“That’s not like my friend, not like the Deante I [saw]. He never acted like that around me. He was always a good person, smiling, asking me to come back to church,” Warfield says.
Pastor Allison was taken in by police for questioning but we’re told he was released later that night.
Now those who knew and loved Smith are questioning how a man who was more like a father figure to him could do something like this in a place of worship.
“He was a good person. I pray that justice is served,” Warfield says.
A spokesperson for the Detroit Police says their investigators are still working hard on this case to figure out what happened. Once their investigation is complete, a report will be sent to the prosecutor’s office to determine whether charges will be filed, and if this shooting was justified or not. 

 Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Rod Parsley was diagnosed with throat cancer. It’s not a big secret, though he has not been speaking much about it publicly—until now.

Now, the TV host, evangelist, educator, humanitarian and statesman has shared his story with Charisma News. In part one of this interview, he shares how he discovered he had cancer, the battle that raged against his mind and how he used the Bible to battle against radiation side effects. Charisma News: When did you discover you had throat cancer?

Parsley: Back in early May, I started experiencing what I thought was a sore throat just from allergies or whatever and visited our family doctor. For about a month he had me on some medication for that. It didn’t go away so he then said, “Let’s have it scoped,” which I’ve done many times as a professional who uses my voice for a living and for God’s kingdom. So they did a scope and saw some abnormalities and didn’t think there was much to it.
Charisma News: But there was…
Parsley: It was a squamous cell carcinoma. It was pretty devastating news. The doctor took a look at it and said, “I’m not going to touch this as a surgeon. This is cancer, and the best option for people who make their living speaking is they go through radiation treatment. This was pretty devastating news, and I didn’t know what all that meant. At that moment, you have to stand so firmly on your faith and not allow yourself to hear all the voices going on in your mind.
Charisma News: Cancer is never a word you want to hear.
Parsley: Immediately, Joni (his wife) gave us a word, and a word of prophecy came, and the word—I’m not going to say there weren’t any tears. I’m not going to say that didn’t send me into a very dark place for a few minutes and thereafter to war against that. This is the fight of faith. This is the adversary telling me “You’re never going to preach again. You’re never going to talk again. It’s over. You’re finished. The ministries will collapse, and you will never again take a microphone in one hand and a Bible in another.” It was devastating news, but I’ve always said if the gospel doesn’t work (in crisis) then it doesn’t work at all.
Charisma News: I understand you received radiation treatments every day for 28 days.
Parsley: We don’t like to go back there because we received the victory, but so many people are going through the same thing right now, and they look at you and our family and say, “If they can do it, so can we.”
Another verse that’s become so precious to me is that the “Blessing of the Lord makes rich and He adds no sorrow.” Now the rich people—a lot of preachers use that just about prosperity. … Rich means in fullness of salvation and all that salvation entails. The blessing of the Lord makes one rich—spirit, soul, body relationships. … He adds no sorrow with it.
When God heals, there’s no sorrow … when He heals just by divine impartation. But thank God He uses doctors and nurses and wisdom and hospitals, and thank God for that. If I had my choice, I’d just take that immediate miraculous healing. Even when God uses the mechanisms of this world for healing, and all healing comes from God. Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights from whom there is no variableness or shadow or turning. If it’s good, it came from God. The thief came to kill—and sickness is limited to death. The thief came to kill, steal and destroy, but Jesus said “I came so that you may have life and that you might have it more abundantly.” So when others are involved, there is some sorrow related to it.
What you learn to do is to stand against side effects. For instance, God made the heavens and the earth and the Bible says he divided the light from the darkness. I used that, laid there on that cold, steel table, bolted down, immovable with a huge machine running around my head.
I said, “What’s the worst that can happen with radiation?” If a mistake is made, we could fry your voice box and you could never be able to speak again, so you lay there, and you say, “God, You divided light from the darkness, the day from the night, You directed David’s stone out of his slingshot. Now, I ask that you to direct this radiation. If there are cancer cells in my body, let it attack the cancer cells and let there be no side effect left in my body. 
Whatever medication I take, I stand against any side effects. I say, “This medication will do exactly what God and my doctors purpose it to do, and will harm me in no way.” The Bible says, Mark 16—and I’ve stood on this, “If they drink any deadly thing, it shall not harm them,” meaning whatever comes in to my body to help bring healing will not harm me, for I’m a child of God.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God meets Drug Dealers And Killers Strike Again……A man, who police say attacked a pastor with a brick at a church service before the pastor out whipped out his Glock handgun and fatally fired back, ranted weeks before on Facebook that his pastor had gotten his wife pregnant.

The incident happened about 15 minutes into the 1:30 p.m. Sunday service at the City of God ministries storefront church on Grand River near Lahser, Assistant Chief Steve Dolunt said.
“The pastor had had issues with the man before,” Dolunt said. “He had been threatening him to do bodily harm. He walked into the service and went after the pastor with a brick. The pastor pulled out his Glock and fired several shots. I think he hit him four or five times, and the man died.”
The victim was identified as Deante Smith, 26, of Detroit, police said.
Two Detroit police sources said detectives were investigating a possible love triangle between Smith, his wife and their pastor.
Dolunt said police were called to the church in September. On Sept. 16, Smith wrote that he planned to attend the church.
“Can’t wait to see Sunday message at the City of God Ministry,” he wrote. “I’ll be there with the truth.”
Later that day, Smith wrote: “This (expletive) gonna hit the fan.”
In a Sept. 15 post, Smith wrote: “That wasn’t my baby that was (his wife) and pastor(’s) baby.” That preceded a Sept. 18 rant: “This (expletive) got my (expletive) pregnant. Tick tock (expletive) and everybody with you.”
Smith posted several times in the weeks leading up to his death about the pain he was feeling about the alleged affair. On Oct. 8, he wrote: “I’m hurting, yall.”
His posts appeared to concern friends, one of whom wrote on Oct. 13, “may I ask (what) is going on with you?”
Smith replied: “I’m crazy they call me S.O.N.I.C.”
The pastor was not arrested and is cooperating with authorities, Officer Jennifer Moreno said Monday.
“He was never in custody,” Moreno said Monday. “He was just brought downtown (on Sunday) for questioning regarding the incident. He stayed a couple hours, cooperated fully, and went home.”
After questioning the pastor, police will submit a warrant request to prosecutors, who will then decide whether the shooting was justified.
“We’re not sure at this point whether the man had mental problems or what,” Dolunt said. “It’s still under investigation.”
Smith had been a player for the semi-pro Michigan Lightning football team. The team released a statement on Facebook on Monday.
“His infectious smile and the courage in which he approached life, on and off the field, are attributes that will stick with all of us,” the team statement read.
According to the team, Smith was captain and founding father of the organization.
“More important than all his on the field achievements, was his ability to reach someone who was going through a rough time. ‘I got you,’ was echoed by him on many occasions, and to Tae, they weren’t just words, he wasn’t going to let you fall,” the team’s statement read.
Detroit City Councilman Andre Spivey, who also serves as pastor of St. Paul A.M.E. Church on Detroit’s east site, said late Sunday that he had never met the City of God pastor. But concerns about security in places of worship, he said, have seemingly increased in recent months since June’s mass shooting in Charleston, South Carolina.
“It continues to shock me,” Spivey said. “Before June, you saw things like this happen every now and then. But now it seems every week something happens at a church.”
In the wake of the Charleston shooting that left nine dead, many Detroit pastors said they planned to beef up security at their places of worship. In June, the Rev. Larry L. Simmons of Baber Memorial A.M.E. Church in northwest Detroit said he was one of them.
“Unfortunately, we had an incident about a year ago at another church in Brightmoor,” Simmons said, referring to a shooting outside the Citadel of Praise Church in July. In that incident, an off-duty police officer serving as a church security guard fatally shot an ax-wielding man who was later determined to be mentally impaired.
“That incident alerted us that our security was not right,” Simmons said. “But how do you make a place that’s open to the public completely secure? You can’t.”
Spivey said Sunday he worries over the direction churches are being pushed in as they attempt to make their congregations safer.
“Thinking far out about it, I do hope the church does not become a place where you have security like an airport,” he said. “My concern is churches are becoming a place where you can no longer welcome people freely. And that shouldn’t happen.”

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Homophobia may be receding in the black community, but featuring a same-sex couple on the reality franchise was still a risky proposition—and a critically important one.

Although, sources close to Milan and Miles say the entire storyline is fake the message may be one of progress.  Ray J was allowed to lie and say what was politically correct, but not called on the carpet for not going on camera with the two gay guys on the show.  At times watching Love and Hip Hop it almost seems it is a totally different show from what the other cast is actually in.  Nice politically correct answers were made but never the truth.  Interesting that Jamal Bryant wants to run for congress, but feels homosexuality is a sin, but his having an affair and bastard children is okay! 

In the decades since its birth in the late 1970s, hip-hop has been almost synonymous with hyper-sexualized lyrics laced with misogyny and homophobia. Masculinity is currency in a high-stakes game that places a premium on bravado and bling. When the genre hit its own social justice era in the mid-’80s, with the rise of iconic groups like Public Enemy and N.W.A, human rights for gay and lesbian people was not on the table, especially if you were black.Thirty years later, that is changing.VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood is breaking new ground by showcasing a same-sex relationship between two young black rap artists. This season, nearly 4 million people watched as producers Milan Christopher and Miles Brock navigated new territory—on and off the screen—and went public for the first time with their relationship. In some of the most compelling moments, cameras followed Miles as he delivered the news to an ex-girlfriend with the help of a therapist, and later to his two older sisters.

“We’ve had same-sex relationships happening around us since the beginning of time,” executive producer Mona Scott-Young, who is also CEO of Monami Entertainment, told theLos Angeles Times. “But somehow we tiptoe around the subject and we never want to give it the same prominence and visibility as we do heterosexual relationships. Here was an opportunity to do something that was reflective of our time.”

Even so, the decision to air the story line was a risky proposition. Although anti-gay attitudes have begun to recede in the black community, significant resistance remains. Few existing cast members wanted their story lines intertwined with Miles and Milan’s, according to reports. And the mood on social media has ranged from supportive to mocking.
VH1 followed Monday night’s episode with an hour-long roundtable discussion, “LHH: Out in Hip Hop,” hosted by veteran journalist and ABC News correspondent T.J. Holmes. Branded as a panel of “artists and cultural experts speaking candidly on homophobia within the hip-hop community,” it featured Baltimore Pastor Jamal Bryant, opinion writer Michael Arceneaux, and singer/songwriter Ray J, among others.
“It’s rappers right now that’s on top of their game that’s gay,” Ray J, who is a featured cast member, told the post-show panel. He later said, “Everybody ain’t straight in the business.”
Industry veteran and legendary MC Darryl “DMC” McDaniels echoed Ray J but noted the stigma for recording artists. “In hip-hop, you can be gay but you can’t be the rapper,” he said. “In hip-hop we disrespect the hell out of our women, so what do you think we’re going to do to a gay man?”
“Hip-hop is still very much a boys’ club,” said former BET/MTV host and music executive Buttah Man. It was clear, he said, that coming out changed the way he was accepted in the business. There was a time when he was no longer invited to certain parties or to work with some artists.
Ray J, who is the brother of R&B artist Brandy Norwood, was adamant in his support for LGBT performers and producers. “I think that we need to get past that… I’m 100 with everybody. But some of my friends don’t get it… I’m not tripping.”
The panel included several African-American pastors, including Bryant. The Baltimore preacher, a social justice activist who often appears alongside Al Sharpton, compared being gay to “gambling,” “adultery,” and “robbery.” He said he believes gay and lesbian people can be “transformed.”
It is unlikely that one night of candid conversation will change attitudes prevalent in hip-hop or the black church. But that makes the discussion no less critical. If only for a few episodes, reality television gave its viewers a dose of substance that is typically missing.
