Rev. Dr. Amos Brown, pastor of the Third Baptist Church and president of the San Francisco NAACP, denounces plans by a nonprofit formed by the church to develop and operate affordable housing at Frederick Douglass Haynes Gardens to now sell the development to speculators. He spoke at a news conference and rally outside Superior Court on Tuesday, July 28.

Everything Thing Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Third Baptist Church in San Francisco asked a San Francisco Superior Court judge today to stop the landlord of the Frederick Douglass Haynes Gardens – a 104-unit Fillmore development that is home to mostly Section 8 tenants – from selling the building to speculators.

The temporary restraining order request, filed in court by attorneys with Renne Sloan Holtzman Sakai LLP, asks a judge to provide injunctive relief against what appears to be another case of affordable housing at risk in San Francisco. An especially inflammatory email between two real estate brokers dated July 21, obtained by attorneys for the plaintiff, show that the currently affordable apartments are listed for sale and rents are expected to rise.
The email, from Joe Levy at Marcus & Millichap, a real estate brokerage, says the 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom units – each with one bath – are poised to fetch between $3,000 and $7,000 per month.
“Protecting San Francisco’s stock of affordable housing – in District 5 and citywide – is one of my top priorities,” said Board of Supervisors President London Breed. “The people of San Francisco must stand as one against those who seek to convert our limited affordable housing to market rate housing.
“Without a process that includes the residents and the community, the sale of this property should be stopped immediately! I’m working with Mayor Lee and the Mayor’s Office of Housing to address this situation. I want to send a strong message that this type of behavior is not acceptable in my district nor anywhere in the city.”

1958, when the Rev. Frederick Douglass Haynes, after whom Frederick Douglass Haynes Gardens is named, was pastor, NAACP President W.E.B. DuBois spoke at Third Baptist Church. Several large Fillmore churches were lost when the district, called Harlem of the West, was bulldozed to push Blacks out of San Francisco, and as a gesture of reparations, each was allowed to build a new affordable housing development in the neighborhood. Now that San Francisco is again determined to rid itself of Blacks, those developments are being taken over and lost to the Black community. Third Baptist Church is fighting back.

The church’s suit asks a judge to stop or slow the building’s landlord – Third Baptist Gardens, Inc. (TBG) – from selling the property to unknown real estate speculators. TBG, a separate entity from the church, is a nonprofit corporation that was started by the church in the 1960s – ironically, to improve housing affordability and prevent displacement.
Unlike much of San Francisco’s at-risk affordable housing, the Frederick Douglass Haynes Gardens is home to mostly Section 8 tenants – approximately 80 percent – who receive federal subsidies to help them afford the cost of their rent. It’s considered historically significant, too, to San Francisco’s African American community, who disproportionately face the harms of gentrification and displacement.
Attorneys for the plaintiff say that, as recently as yesterday, the property’s tenants weren’t even aware of the pending sale. “Adding insult to injury,” attorney Jonathan Holtzman said, “the property owners hadn’t told the tenants that they might be at risk of losing their homes.”
Despite the development having been started by the church over 40 years ago, the complaint alleges that the property’s landlord, TBG, has engaged in deceptive business practices as of late, risks violating its articles of incorporation, and jeopardized both the church’s longstanding interest in the property and the interests of its low-income tenants, many of whom are people of color.
 Beyond secretly listing the property for sale – in a 10-day timeframe, while ordering a broker to deny that the property has been listed – the complaint alleges that TBG has summarily ousted board members and that its executive director has hired family members for paid positions in an effort to consolidate power.

“Protecting San Francisco’s stock of affordable housing – in District 5 and citywide – is one of my top priorities,” said Board of Supervisors President London Breed.
The case is yet another clarion call for action to solve San Francisco’s affordable housing crisis and end the mass outmigration of Blacks from the city they’ve called home for many generations.
“Our clients are asking TBG to make a full and public accounting of the circumstances of this secret proposed sale,” attorney Louise Renne said. “Because there are two tragedies with this case: one of these 104 working families who are at risk and the larger issue of protecting San Francisco’s affordable housing safety net.”

A Memphis pastor has been indicted on child pornography charges.

Investigators said Demarcus Smith, 32, coerced a boy to take pictures of himself engaging in sexually explicit conduct and send him the pictures.

Smith is a pastor at Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church in South Memphis. He’s also a member of the Baptist Ministerial Association.
Investigators said he coerced the boy between August 2014 and May 2015.
“It’s sickening. It’s extremely sickening, not just for the community’s sake, but to the bible itself,” said Lakisha Davis. To the people, to what you’re supposed to represent, it’s sad.”
Davis said her young son visited Oak Hill often.
“I am saddened to say that he has attended there with members of my family. He won’t be going there anymore, though.”
Although he is under fire, some still stand by the pastor.
“I don’t believe that,” said one choir member. “I don’t believe that. He just don’t seem like that type of person. I have faith in him and I just believe in him. Not just only he’s my pastor. It’s because I know him and he’s never appealed to me as of doing anything like that.”
If convicted, Smith faces at least 10 years in prison and up to 45 years as well as $250,000 in fines per conviction.

Kenny Sparks has been known to be a scam artist and even can on Obnoxious Radio to share how he was robbed at a church in Flordia.  Sparks shared how he was stripped to his underwear and jumped by a woman’s sons for challenging her to give.  The next night she demanded her money back or he was going to get beat.  Well, Kenny took a old fashioned ass whipping rather then give a dime back of the money.  Now we have a mugshot and charges that he was convicted of in Texas.  Prophet Sparks has a Prison Ministry now and seems he will be there for sometime.  It was a day when this man was chaffered in a limousine and lived in a mansion, his wife wore nothing, but St. John while he traveled the country preaching and prophesying to living in a Red Roof Inn in Texas.  One of his famous lines is, “If I tell you a duck is a truck then hook it up!”  Let me not forget, “I can look through muddy water and see dry land!”  Now in prison he lefts up his eyes.

Well, it is offical Joel is going home!  You got that right!  After a long court battle Joel Peebles is returning home.  Now it remains to be seen what will happen as a result of Micheal and DeeDee Freeman’s involvement in all this, but Dr. Jazz had to get the hell out!  Jackass Jakes can find a spot for her in his empire or will he leave her hanging.  It remains to be seen.  However, Joel is going home and that is all that matters that right won.  Now hopefully he will get his mother’s home and all her other belongings.  Joel looks like he has lost some weight and has a new look for this new accomplishment!

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Checkout what a member of my Obnoxious Street Committee sent me that was taken during MegaFest last week in Dallas, Texas.  My favorite female preacher and no matter what anyone says she still has it.  God is good to see Juanita Bynum and Bishop TD Jakes reunited, not to mention Myron Williams.  These three have had some very serious public disagreements, but God is all about forgiveness and moving forward.  Honestly this is good for the Body of Christ to see Juanita and Jakes reunited.  Although, I would not have Jakes take my dog to the dop pound he is esteemed very high by the church community.  Now Jakes tired to put Dr. Jazz on a level of Juanita and she fell flat on her face, but Jakes finally acknowledged a COGIC daughter that has the oil on her life and that is Joyce Rodgers.  Jakes is in Dallas and Joyce is form Denton and he finally had her preach for him and she has been right in his backyard all the time.  Since everyone else Jakes has given his blessing has disappointed him greatly he finally had to get a COGIC girl to pull MegaFest off.  Hopefully he will soon preach Juanita again and burry the hatchet since he is supposed to represent Christ.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Bishop Carlton Pearson is headed to divorce court. According to various reports circulating and court documents, the marriage that had so much hope and promise is being dissolved. This explains why he was solo at Bishop Charles E. Blake’s 75th Birthday Celebration.

The papers say “incompatibility issues has completely destroyed the legitimate aims of the marriage of the parties and rendered its continuation impossible by reason of which petitioner is entitled to dissolution of marriage from respondent,” for the dissolution of the marriage.

Carlton Pearson is an award-winning vocalist and fourth-generation Pentecostal preacher, according to his website.
“Today Pearson’s ministry targets specifically and primarily the ‘un or less-churched.’ He makes his appeal to those who feel spiritually unresolved. His ministry now addresses issues of spiritual, social, moral, cultural, religious and political significance in a practical, yet provocative manner relating faith to culture. He likes to call himself a Sacred Activist and Spiritual Progressive and is a strong proponent of Justice and Peace issues,” his website reads.

 Bishop Pearson has been surrounded by controversy over the last few years. Pearson feeling a different call on his doctrine switched to a variation on universal reconciliation—the Gospel of Inclusion, that resulted in him leaving his church In Tulsa.  A little while later he had to write a letter to dispel rumors surrounding his sexual orientation.  Some have questioned his sexuality due to his Gospel of Inclusion and being so accepting of the gay community.

At one time, Bishop Carlton Pearson was the pastor of the Higher Dimensions Evangelistic Center, later named it Higher Dimensions Family Church which was one of the largest churches in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During the 1990s, it grew to an average attendance of over 5,000. Due to his stated belief in universal reconciliation, Pearson rapidly began to lose his influence in ministry with the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops and was eventually declared a heretic by his peers in 2004. Carlton later became Interim Senior Pastor at Chicago’s Christ Universal Temple.
 His annual Azusa conference saw attendance swell to 50,000 per event. The popular conference helped give numerous ministries an international platform and recognition including TD Jakes and Joyce Meyers.
He took to Facebook to write this note to his followers:
I am not gay, but wouldn’t apologize nor be ashamed if I were. I love my wife dearly and have been married to her for over 20 years. We have scores of married and single gay friends we love and respect. You don’t have to be gay to love gay people and even hang out some with them. You don’t have to be a divorcee to love, support and respect them. Neither do you have to be Muslim or Jewish to have friends from those religious disciplines. As Inclusionists, we teach that we don’t have to go along to get along and that we can mind many of the same things without necessarily having the same mind about everything. Inclusionists believe Peace is possible, both individually and globally.
Jesus was accused of eating with “sinners” (Mark 2:15) and protecting prostitutes and adulteresses from the stones of the religious right of his day, called Pharisees. The word Pharisee translates “separatist” or “separated” in both Hebrew and Greek. I am an Inclusionist and proudly so.
Many of my self-righteous detractors accuse me of being gay because I am so outspokenly supportive of gays. Next to the Jewish community, the same gender loving (SGL) community were the first to reach out to me after hearing my Gospel of Inclusion. Do these same people, suspicious of my sexuality, also say I am atheist, a Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Scientologist because I hang with, love and accept them all and others, including those hypocritical so- called Christians who hate themselves and everyone else?
I’m not preaching false doctrine, just exposing it while dealing with some 2000 years of entrenched and mostly erroneous indoctrination. I love Christ and so- called “Christian values” but those taught more by Christ than most Christians.
It both amazes and amuses me that so many Christians simply cannot believe that someone loves unconditionally in the way they like to proclaim Jesus taught and did. Most so-called “people of faith” actually have more fear than faith or more faith in their fears than in God. Or perhaps when I say God as it relates to fundamentalists, it is commensurate to fear of God or faith in their fear of his wrath, in effect is their worst fear. Their God, in order to keep them from sinning, something they presumably would prefer and habitually do, threatens to send them to an eternal customized torture chamber. I once feared that god and his hell too, but I no longer do and I don’t even believe in that manmade and presumably bible supported god or his hell. Even the heaven I believe in is not the one in the Christian bible. That one is too gaudy for my taste. I never liked the streets of gold thing. Reminds me too much of my old TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Stage). BTW, my dear 84 year old mother keeps one of the 3 TVs in her bedroom tuned to TBN 24/7 Lol! . I actually prefer sands and beaches to walls of Jasper and topaz as the book of Revelation describes and prescribes. And why would heaven need walls anyway? Moreover, as I close, most gays I know are much more like Christ than many of the Christians I know. And most of my same gender loving (SGL) friends, both male and female, seem to be better (not bitter) and more responsible and loving Christians than most common fundamentalists. Same is true of many of the non-Christian SGL people. I could say the same thing about several of my atheist, Jewish and Muslim friends as well. Again, this is not a criticism, but an observation and an important one that must not be ignored. Being in church or a church no more makes you Christlike than being in a garage makes you an automobile. What say ye?

Iyanla also helps Pastor Mitchell Jones, who realized his same-sex attraction early, but buried those feelings after being told his desires were wrong.  Now members of my Obnoxious Street Committee have been blowing up my in-box about a pastor out of Richmond, Virginia by the name of Mitchell Jones, who will come out to his wife Tiffany Ross.  After marriage and five kids Mitchell comes to the realization he is gay.

 Fear and guilt drove Mitchell into the church where he spent years preaching against homosexuality. After marrying and fathering children, he began a string of affairs with other men-eventually telling his wife that he needed to embrace his gay identity, but never confessing his numerous infidelities.

Iyanla’s real challenge is to help Mitchell understand that the only way to move forward and to undo the pain is to make a full confession and to live his life honestly from now on.

 Obnoxious Media has been informed that Mitchell Jones would leave the bed with his lawfully wedded wife Tiffany to long for the affection of a man.  It is rumored that Mitchell is going with a guy by the name of Juan Pablo Figueroa.  It was thought that Tiffany was the daughter of a well know bishop, but we have not been able to confirm if that is true or not.  The show will also address how Mitchell’s coming out of the closet will and is effecting his twin brother Micheal Jones.  This three part show is going to be interesting to say the least and will rock the church once again.

 Later in the season, Iyanla meets a model who turned to excessive, dangerous industrial-grade silicone butt injections in the name of beauty, but at the expense of her health and relationships with others.

Iyanla also works with two co-dependent sisters whose relationship is being destroyed by addiction; a grandmother who’s raising her grandson because of her daughter’s irresponsibility; and a family struggling with a three generation history of violence toward women, by women.

In an unforgettable season finale, Iyanla goes one-on-one with Olympic figure skater, Debi Thomas, to talk about her colossal fall from grace. Debi was the first African American to win a medal at the Winter Olympics and after achieving the heights of fame and success, is now broke, jobless and living in a crowded, bug-infested trailer with her boyfriend, who admits he drinks too much. 

Now we reached out to Mitchell Jones to request an interview, but he was not willing to talk prior to this weekend.  However, it seemed suspicious so we decided to move forward with the story in spite of his request.  Mitchell is so excited about his coming out and wanting to have a viewing party in Atlanta.  So you all let me know the details on all the parties involved because love is in the details and Obnoxious Media promies to get the details for you.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……It is not often that I take the time out of my jammed packed schedule to discuss someone that is not famous but recently I was confronted with an issue that warranted my immediate attention. Because we live in a time where technology is so easily accessible and can be misused or abused to quickly destroy a mans’ good name in seconds.

Often you will read In my column or in my blog about a person that has attempted to or has taken advantage of a child that should be punished, but for the first time in life Mr. Obnoxious has experienced the advances of a young, dangerous, sexually confused 20 year old man. Four days ago late that evening a in-box message was sent to me that warned me not to attend the Holy Convocation in St. Louis this November or I would be attacked by Jayles Lewis Garrett claiming to be a Spritual Son of Bishop Larry Trotter.  Hopefully this is not a Bishop Trick Daddy Young Boy Booty Licking Eddie Long type of relationship! 

As a well known media figure it is not uncommon for me, Mr. Obnoxious to have fans and followers of my career and because I speak so candidly about issues and topics most people avoid I have a great deal of admirers and haters. However this one young man seemed a bit strange. After a few direct messages on the social networking site it and a great number of compliments of my great sence of style and fashion it was clear that Jayles had something else in mind. The obviously sexually confused young man was making advances at me that went completely ignored. It has always been the desire of Obnoxious Media to entertain and educate. Never has this amazing career been used to be the object of someone’s sexual desire or to use it to have someone become a sexual object of Mr. Obnoxious.  However, he used that was a ploy to get me to respond to him so he could threaten to attack me.

This sexually confused young man that is living with the desires for men while in an enviourment, the Black Church that says it is wrong and trying fufil the burning lust of his freaky sexual appetite for men. Once he was avoided he made a weak attempt to lash out on the social networking site to attack me and my character and threaten to jump on me so he decided to tell you just who he is and for men to beware.  Jayles Lewis Garrett will try to use God and his desire to study and learn more about ministry as a way to get close to you for some serious other motives. He lives in Chicago, Illinois while I have been in New York on business I had to face this foolishness.  I and members of my staff tired countless times to reach out to Bishop Larry Trotter to see if he could provide some guidance to this troubled young man, but our calls were not returned.  Even Twitter was used, but still no response so it was necessary   shared on my platform that Jayles seems to be a mentally disturbed young man that is seeking attention, but really is in need of some medical attention.  Jayles made many attempts to meet me that all have been turned down and he seems to be a stalker. This must have angered Jayles greatly because he began to use that same site to attack me publicly, which before was a tool for his advances.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Recently I heard a female preacher say God was not bipolar and Transgender has no place in the church!  Cordelia Wallace says Transgender Has No Place In The Church 

Shemiyia Sweeney wasn’t the only person in Dr. Drew’s all-trans audience Thursday night who experienced discrimination from the community in which she was raised.

But she was the only person with her mother present, a woman who adjusted her beliefs when church leaders advised she disown her would-be daughter.
“We don’t have to debate homosexuality anymore, we don’t have to define anything,” Sheila O’Bannon explained to the panel, standing beside her child — now a beautiful, young woman. “All we have to do is the No. 2 commandment, and that is ‘love your neighbor!’”
Still, the believing community’s response to LGBT stories isn’t always as accepting.
“People look at Christians in a ‘debate’ like this and they automatically assume that there is hatred,” panelist Vanessa Barnett admitted. “But at the end of the day, God is love.”
O’Bannon admitted it was a “process” to understand Shemiyia’s transgender identity, but after she described the devastating event that opened her eyes to her child’s needs, she begged those who doubt transgender people to consider the gravity of their situation.
“Our black children are dying. Our black, trans children are dying. Stand for them,” she urged.

He was 62. Authorities were reportedly called to his home at about 1 p.m. Saturday. Officials said his wife found him unconscious at his desk.

A week of celebration turned to shock and despair for a North Carolina church Saturday when their beloved pastor, who they had toasted earlier in the week and was getting ready to celebrate his birthday, wedding anniversary and the founding of his church, accidentally shot himself in the chest as he cleaned his gun at home.

Davis founded Nations Ford Community Church in 1988 and was a preacher for 40 years. He also preached on television and traveled extensively in his work.
Bishop Claude Richard Alexander Jr. of The Park Church released this statement on Davis’ death:
Upon my arrival at University Park Baptist Church, one of the first people that I was encouraged to meet was Pastor Phil Davis. I was told of his step of faith in leaving an established church to begin the work of the Nations Ford Church.
I remember our meeting and his welcoming me to the city. I was struck by how down to earth he was as well as being focused on offering God and God’s people his very best. We all have been blessed by the wisdom of his leadership, the power and insight of his preaching and teaching, and the consistency of his example as husband, father, and now grandfather. His most recent effort to provide leadership in an effort to effect racial reconciliation among clergy and churches is but another example of a heart sensitive to the heart of God.
To say that we are saddened and shocked is an understatement. Kim and I along with The Park Family extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Pastor Cynthia Davis, the Davis family, and the Nations Ford Community congregation

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God meets Drug Dealers And Killers Strike Again……Kim Davis, the clerk of Rowan County in Kentucky, after refusing to grant a marriage certificate to Robbie Blankenship and Jesse Cruz on Wednesday. 

A Kentucky county clerk who has become a symbol of religious opposition to same-sex marriage was jailed Thursday after defying a federal court order to issue licenses to gay couples.

The clerk, Kim Davis of Rowan County, Ky., was ordered detained for contempt of court and later rejected a proposal to allow her deputies to process same-sex marriage licenses that could have prompted her release.
Instead, on a day when one of Ms. Davis’s lawyers said she would not retreat from or modify her stand despite a Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage, Judge David L. Bunning of United States District Court secured commitments from five of Ms. Davis’s deputies to begin providing the licenses. At least two couples planned to seek marriage licenses Friday.
The judge’s decision to jail Ms. Davis, a 49-year-old Democrat who was elected last year, immediately intensified the attention focused on her, a longtime government worker who is one of three of Kentucky’s 120 county clerks who contend that their religious beliefs keep them from recognizing same-sex nuptials. Within hours of Ms. Davis’s imprisonment, some Republican presidential candidates declared their support for her, a sign that her case was becoming an increasingly charged cause for Christian conservatives.
“Today, judicial lawlessness crossed into judicial tyranny,” Senator Ted Cruz, Republican of Texas, said in a statement.
A lawyer for Ms. Davis, Roger Gannam, sharply criticized the ruling and portrayed it as a stark warning to Christians across the country.
“Today, for the first time in history, an American citizen has been incarcerated for having the belief of conscience that marriage is the union of one man and one woman,” Mr. Gannam said after a hearing that stretched deep into Thursday afternoon. “And she’s been ordered to stay there until she’s willing to change her mind, until she’s willing to change her conscience about what belief is.”
In Washington, the White House press secretary, Josh Earnest, said he had not discussed the judge’s decision with President Obama, but he added that it was not up to Ms. Davis to defy the Supreme Court.
“Every public official in our democracy is subject to the rule of law,” Mr. Earnest said. “No one is above the law. That applies to the president of the United States and that applies to the county clerk of Rowan County, Ky., as well.”

Judge Bunning’s decision went beyond the wishes of the couples who sued the clerk this summer; their lawyers had asked that she be fined. Some advocates for gay rights quickly expressed concern that Ms. Davis’s jailing would make her a sympathetic figure to religious conservatives and prompt lawmakers in Kentucky and elsewhere to push for new laws carving out exemptions for public officials who oppose same-sex marriage. But they also described Ms. Davis as an outlier.

“I think this is a tempest in a teapot,” said Marc Solomon, national campaign director of Freedom to Marry, which was active in the push for same-sex marriages to be recognized. “If the big backlash and the mass resistance that our opponents promised is one clerk from a county of under 25,000 people, I think we’re in very good shape.”
Ms. Davis’s appearance before Judge Bunning, and her subsequent detention, was a signal development in a case that surfaced soon after the Supreme Court’s ruling in June. Faced with the ruling, Ms. Davis, an Apostolic Christian, directed her office to stop providing marriage licenses to any applicants.
“Marriage is between one man and one woman,” Ms. Davis said during a frequently tearful turn on the witness stand on Thursday. When Mr. Gannam, one of her lawyers, asked whether she approved of same-sex marriage, she replied, “It’s not of God.”
The legal odyssey of Ms. Davis, who was being held Thursday night at a county detention center, began with a ruling last month that ordered her to issue licenses. The Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and, on Monday, the United States Supreme Court denied her requests to prevent the order from taking effect.
Ms. Davis’s decision on Tuesday to refuse licenses to same-sex couples led to the contempt hearing, and she testified that she had not hesitated to maintain her opposition to licensing same-sex couples.

Demonstrators expressed support for gay marriage and religious liberty outside a courthouse in Ashland, Ky., on Thursday, where the Rowan County clerk of courts, Kim Davis, was ordered to jail.
“I didn’t have to think about it,” Ms. Davis said. “There was no choice there.”
But after seeing their boss jailed, most of Ms. Davis’s deputy clerks said Thursday that they were willing to break from her demands and comply with Judge Bunning’s order, even if they did so with deep reluctance.
“I don’t really want to, but I will follow the law,” one deputy, Melissa Thompson, told the judge. “I’m a preacher’s daughter, and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
Another deputy clerk, Nathan Davis, who is also Ms. Davis’s son, said he would not issue licenses, but Judge Bunning did not impose any penalties against him.
On Friday, the focus of the case will shift back to Morehead, where the clerk’s office is. Despite lingering disputes about whether Ms. Davis’s deputies have the authority to act without her explicit consent, couples are expected to begin receiving marriage licenses Friday morning.
“We expect at the end of the day for the court’s orders to be complied with,” Judge Bunning told a crowded, quiet courtroom. “That’s how things work here in America.”

He later added, “I hope there’s no shenanigans.”

Amid complex questions about the scope of the judge’s authority and the application of Kentucky law, it was unclear how long Ms. Davis might remain jailed. Civil contempt is a murky area that is largely dependent on the discretion of the judge whose will has been defied.
“Civil contempt is not supposed to be punitive; it’s supposed to coerce the person to obey the judge’s order,” said Adam Winkler, a law professor at the University of California, Los Angeles. “Once she promises to obey, or once the judge determines that more jail time will not encourage her to obey, they’ll let her out. But she could be in there for a year; it’s conceivable. Judges really don’t like it when people disobey their order.”
Jurists like Judge Bunning have few options to prod compliance, but they are powerful: fines or incarceration. The legal issue — that no one, whether a government or an individual engaged in civil disobedience has standing to flout a court order — is well established.
The standoff here, many law professors said, is somewhat reminiscent of the 1960s civil rights battles, with Ms. Davis in the role of George C. Wallace, the segregationist Alabama governor who stood in the doorway of the University of Alabama to try to block its integration.
“In a way, she’s out George Wallace-ing George Wallace,” said Howard M. Wasserman, a law professor at Florida International University. “It does now feel like the civil rights era, with people ignoring court orders, taking a stand and being held in contempt.”

And Judge Bunning’s decision to jail Ms. Davis, instead of fining her as her challengers sought, came as a surprise in the courtroom and well beyond Ashland.

“It’s unusual for the court to go beyond what the plaintiffs asked for,” Suzanna Sherry, a law professor at Vanderbilt University, said.
Judge Bunning, however, said from the bench that he believed fining Ms. Davis would “not bring about the desired result of compliance.”
With Ms. Davis jailed, the agreements by her deputy clerks left gay and straight couples poised to receive marriage licenses in the county for the first time in months.
“We’re going to the courthouse tomorrow to get our marriage license; we’re very excited about that,” said April Miller, who sued after she and her partner were denied a license. “We’re saddened by the fact that Ms. Davis has been incarcerated. We look forward to tomorrow; as a couple, it will be a very important day in our lives.”
A lawyer for the couples, William Sharp, said Thursday’s ruling demonstrated that “religious liberty is not a sword with which government, through its employees, may impose particular religious beliefs on others.”
Outside the courthouse, protesters expressed disparate messages. The rainbow flag, a symbol of the gay rights movement, was on display along with signs that carried messages like “Sodomy is sin.” Some people shouted their opinions through loudspeakers and megaphones, and faced off, sometimes inches apart, with their opponents.
After the ruling, Ms. Davis’s husband, Joe Davis, was among those unhappy with the proceedings inside.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Sunday Best out did itself this season. The show and its judges set out to find the best gospel talent in America from the previous seasons. Last Sunday, voting was opened to America to vote. When you take a look at Season 8, you see why many of them missed being chosen. Many of them missed the cut because they were not good enough, some of them missed the cut because the competition was just that much better.

Those of you that read my blog know that at times I have been critical of the show due to some of their contestants seemed to be using Gospel music for their big break.  A number of them were not good enough for American Idol or some of the other music competition shows so the use the church as a fallback plan.  Hopefully these guys are sincere.

The Sunday Best winner receives a national recording contract, a cash prize, as well as the title of ‘Sunday Best’. They started with 10 contestants who were put through their paces with by the judges of Donnie McClurkin, Kierra Sheard, and Yolanda Adams. This year the finale show was broadcast live from Atlanta. Kirk Franklin informed the viewing audience that millions voted last.
Donnie said, “This season the artist brought Jesus into this place.”
Season 2’s Clifford Ross III began his journey in 2010’s season 2 and admits that fear conquered him in his initial appearance to the show. This season he was at the top of his game and handled his live duet with Le’Andria Johnson by singing ‘He’ll bring You Out’. Clifford requested her personally to sing with him for his final performance.
Season 3’s Dathan Thigpen teamed with Tye Tribett to cover ‘You Are Everything’ was voted off the first time. They wore matching neon tuxedos and glasses and just lit the house up dancing and singing. The highlight of the show was the lights going off and Tye and Dathan doing a choreographed dance in the dark!
Season 2’s Zebulon Ellis took the stage with a traditional song in ‘How Precious’. His duet partner was Kathy Taylor. Kirk Franklin allowed Zebulon to lead worship into commercial break.
The show had great interludes performance from Travis Greene, who performed his hit single ‘Intentional’.
Kirk Franklin debuted his new single “Wanna Be Happy” and had the audience on their feet clapping and singing along.
The season eight all Star winner was Dathan Thigpen. Upon winning, he immediately broke out into tears.
He will join winners who all had great success stories.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……To God Be The Glory For The Things He Has Done!  Bishop Joel Peebles, Pastor Ylawnda Peebles and The City of Praise Family Ministries returned to their home church last weekend in Landover, Maryland.

This was the first service at the Landover Campus since April 2012, when a handful of employees declared themselves the legitimate board and unlawfully took control of the church displacing the Peebles and thousands of longtime parishioners.
“On this day we’re celebrating God’s redemptive power. If you’ve ever lost a home, a job or even your peace, this event is proof that by God’s grace, you can recover,” said Joel Peebles. “After years of being displaced, the City of Praise congregation of more than 12,000 members is returning home to our Landover campus.”
Pastors and congregants from across the globe made their way to Landover for the landmark celebration. Community members and others were invited to attend this milestone worship experience.
“This is truly a season of restoration and reconciliation. On this special day, the body of Christ is coming together as one—in unity to worship our loving God,” said Ylawnda Peebles.

Below you will watch a clip displaying the most deplorable behavior ever displayed by someone professing salvation.  Today was noting but a day of shopptfor me and while I was minding my own business my phone started going out of control.  Now some of the members of my Obnoxious Street Committee had told me about LeAndria, but I did not want to believe it until I saw it for myself.  Everyone know that I have been extremely critical of LeAndria in the past, but nothing can touch what I have whitnessed tonight.  It is so sad that her son even comes to her and ask ‘Mommy what have you been drinking?’  For a moment conviction comes over her, but instead of stopping she orders her children to go downstairs!  At first it was not clear that she was awared she is being filmed, but she begans to address her viewers in realtime

Now let me be clear! I do not like a lot of vulgar talk by men, but it is especially offensive coming from a woman. No, we do not hear all of her message and to be honest, I do not want to hear anything she has to sing or say. I would have been scared that God would have killed everyone in the place with this type of clowning and foolishness going on in HIS house.

Now, you can try to justify and rationalize this behavior if you want, but there is no excuse. Period. This woman could have made her point with a better choice of words. Clearly it is something wrong with people to think this behavior is right! It is offensive, at best, and is in poor taste, especially in the church house!

This is amazing that this type of deplorable behavior is taking place in church. More and more, the church is a reflection of the world instead of the world becoming like the church. Not sure what soul can be won with this type of behavior on display by so-called “saints”. I would be ashamed to call this alley cat my pastor. In fact, when she twisted and shook her butt in my face that would have been it for me on that Sunday. I would not have Leandria Johnson take my dog to the dog pound let alone play with my soul. This foul mouth heifer has become the Millie Jackson of the pulpit and the Amy Winehouse of Gospel Music. It would not surprise me if she is one day found dead in a hotel room from a drug overdose based upon the behavior she displays! They better make her go to rehab! Clearly she knows a great deal about sucking on titties, penises, and good old fashion “sexing” considering she have five kids by five different men and none of them

were her husband. She is like the whore at the well, but I do not see a change. Way to go for the BET’s Sunday Best Winner. I knew she was crazy when she first appeared on the show in flip flop and tube socks.

People can go to the club if they want but stop trying to make church the disco and stop trying to make Gospel Music sound like R&B or Hip Hop. If you like secular music, listen to it, but do not make Gospel the next club jam and say it is righteous. Let there be a difference between clean and unclean, holy and unholy. People it is this simple. You sanctify your clean clothes from your dirty clothes. You do not wear your underwear all day, take them off, fold them up, and put them in the drawer with your clean underwear. If you do then you are NASTY!!! It is just that simple with church!

A member of my Obnoxious Street Committee sent me the above flyers informing me that Emmanuel Richardson was being installed as senior pastor of a church.  He landed on his feet in Warnner Robins, Georgia at the Temple Of Miracles church.  Not even a year ago Emmanuel was busted kissing Elder Micheal Cruchfield of Washington, D.C.  Obnoxious Media has not been able to determine if the church is an a congregation that is accepting of same gender loving people, but they must be if they are installing a man that has been caught in a very public love affair with a married man has landed on his feet as a pastor of a church.  Although he was not appointed to pastor the church that his deceased father lead.  Emmanuel has landed on his feet and got his wish to lead a congregation.

Well back to the story! Over the weekend early one morning my cell rang while I was in Vegas covering the Floyd Mayweather fight. Of course it was a dedicated member of my Obnoxious Street Committee with so information. He started out asking me if I was interested in some good church gossip. Now my reply was of course, but quickly I was disappointed it was not involving a pastor of a mega church, gospel artist or person of note.

He stated he had gotten a hold of a photo of two elders kissing.

During the early church it was not uncommon for men to greet their brother with a Holy Kiss and nothing thought of it and in Africa men walk and hold hands to this day. So what was the big deal.

Now I, Sir William G. McCray, III aka Mr. Obnoxious, was told the two men in the photo kissing and what looks to be like tongue kissing each other. The men allegedly are Elder Emmanuel Richardson on the left in the orange tie and Elder Micheal Crutchfield on the right.

 According to my informant the photo was actually a selfiy taken by Elder Crutchfield of his kissing Elder Richardson good-bye after they had spent some quality time together that day. It seems Elder Richardson, who is a flight attendant, was in DC to spend some quality time with Elder Crutchfield and attend a church convention. Due to it being the last day of Richardson’s trip and the last time they would see each other for a minute Crutchfield wanted a photo.

The two men is said to have had a three to four month relationship that recently ended due to the long distance.

 Emmanuel is said to have grown weary of Micheal’s demands for home to always travel to DC, where he lives for the two of them to spend time together due to his being married and having a child. Emmanuel just could not deal with always bring the one to make the sacrifice for the two of them to spend time together even if he is a flight attendant and flys free. He recently has been appointed pastor of a church and had taken on a great deal more responsibility.

 This looks like it possibly was a photo taken of Elder Micheal Cruchfield and his wife Keri with him wearing same hat as the man in the photo that is kissing the man that looks a great deal like Elder Emmanuel Richardson.

 Allegedly Michael Crutchfield is married to a woman but the name of Keri, who according to her Facebook page is a fashion stylist based in DC. The couple are good friends if the former COGIC Sweethearts The Loftons.

Obnoxious Media is not saying anything about this kiss, but will allow you our readers to be the judge. What say you?

Obnoxious Extreme Ratchet Behavior Exposed meets Durg Dealers And Killers Strike Again……A 25-year-old Michigan man was stabbed after he found his wife in bed with her father.

CBS Detroit reported that the man found the pair in bed together after he arrived home around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A fight then broke out between the man and his father-in-law when the husband woke up the sleeping pair. Authorities identified the father-in-law as Detroit resident Henry Allen Michael. The older man allegedly stabbed his son-in-law in the back and fled in the victim’s car.
The younger man’s stab wound was not life-threatening and he was taken to a local area hospital to be treated.
The 24-year-old wife later told authorities that she and her father had been out drinking and she had passed out upon returning to her house. She claims she did not know what happened until her husband woke up the duo.
The wife says she has reason to believe she was sexually assaulted by her father. She insisted on being examined at the hospital before being taken to a relative’s home.
Michael’s criminal record includes a robbery in 1992 where he was found guilty and sentenced to 20 years in prison before being released in 2012. He recently pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon in March 2015 where he was placed on probation until January 2016. The father was staying with the couple after being released from prison.
Michael was later arrested after this incident occurred. He is currently behind bars at the Oakland County Prison in Michigan on pending charges.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……’Preacher’s Of Detroit’ Pastor Don Shelby gets gangster and has Thaddues Washington jumped at church on a Sunday Morning!  Well you know I held out on this one and was not going to tell it because I thought it honestly might make the church look just to bad in the eyes of the masses.  However, it is only through exposing these ills in the church that will learn grow an improve.  It is sad to go to church and face confrontation, but fighting is all in the Bible.  I know The Lord will anoint me to kick someone’s ass if they walk up on me in the name of Jesus.  

               Well that is just what happen to Thaddeus Washington when he decided to attend the Bruning Bush Church Of God In Christ while Donnie McCkurklin was there to sing and preach.  One of of my good Obnoxious Street Committee members was present as the hold thing unfolded.  It was high mass and service was in full swing by the time Thaddeus Washington made his appearance.  It was in fact his first time attending service since Obnoxious Media broke the story that Don Shelby forced his daughter to have an abortion.  

Now the rumor is that Courtney Shelby and Thaddues had began to see each other again after they ran into each other in the airport in Detroit.  According to Thaddeus father he is deeply inlove with Courtney and wanted to be with her not matter what the outcome.  He finally walked in when all Hell broke loose.  The word is Donnie was up and getting ready to get started in his dramatic antics when the show began.  Since the show Don Shelby had gotten a little Hollywood and has a full security team to protect him form the 100 or so members he has on Sunday.  Not to get off on that tangent Thaddeus walked in and Set It Off!  Don Shelby and his security got up to go out and an usher asked Thaddeus to step outside.  Being the rather easily influenced guy that he is he went outside.  Don Shelby is said to have told him he was not welcome to attend Bruning Bush and that he needed to leave.  Thaddeus wanted to meet with Shelby and insist they talk and discuss things, but it was not going to happen.  

The Word is that Don Shelby’s father was ready to give Thaddeus an old fashioned Detroit style ass whipping in the church parking lot and Thaddeus got pushed around a bit before he took the hint.  All the the excitement and people going in and out of the church to see what was going on proved to be to much for Donnie who eventually left without preaching as he was scheduled.  Now Obnoxious Media had been in commication with Thaddeus father, who was very upset about the altercation with his son.  He promised to call back at a time when he could go into more detail about what had happen to his son at the church and was even thinking about pressing charges, but it seems he never did and could no longer be reached at the cell number he had provided.

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Obnoxious Readers you all are going to kill me for holding this story for almost three weeks now, but those of you that read and follow my blog know that at times I rather wait until I have all the details than to share a story prematurely. Like many of the stories I have broke here at Obnoxious Media, they often peel back like a onion with many deep detailed layers. On a daily basis I receive over three hundred e-mails and it is most difficult to read through them all and get to the juicy ones that give serious information that must be shared.

Obnoxious is a thought provoking expression that is unobjectionably hot; it is a person, place, thing, or topic, that has to be called out and examined through popular eyes, always verifying the essence of true style, class, and intelligence.

Now many of you know that lawsuits I recently faced should serve as credence

to the power I have when it comes to my blogs and the fear of lowdown scoundrels being exposed, and their going through great lengths to shut me down. But, boy oh boy do I have a lot to say on this post.

Readers will not always smile or have pleasant feelings with the contents of

what Mr. Obnoxious sets before them but they will be presented a different point of view from their customs. One will learn quickly that his or her perspective is not always right. Additionally, I love to give you the latest gossip on all aspects of life. You would never know there was a Heaven if I did not drag you through the slums of Hell!

  
Now that I got that off my chest, let me get to the matter at hand.

Recently, three members of my Obnoxious Street Committee sent me the most disturbing e-mail that I have shared with you below:

I used to be a member of his church. 
Now he’s on this show, and the first episode he talking about his children are all pure, and I know for a fact this isn’t true. While I was a member at Burning Bush a few years ago his oldest daughter Courtney (the one that said she wouldn’t vote for a woman president) was PREGNANT! I know this to be true because she had to come before the church and apologize. She got pregnant by the guitar player (Thaddaus). But there had to have been some foul play involved because all of a sudden the guitar guy was gone. Then shortly after all of sudden she wasn’t pregnant. They claim she had a miscarriage, but it was all suspicious. I believe there was an abortion involved. For him to say his children are pure is a flat out lie!! And I don’t know if the guitar player is under this cult, because everyone there kisses the Shelby’s butt and follow all up under them. Grown men calling him Daddy. Shelby is very controlling! And for that guitar player to be kicked out, now all of a sudden he’s back, something’s up. Seeing as to how the church pays all of their bills, Shelby had to figure out a way to try and smooth it over with the church. And I believe his due to his controlling nature he had his daughter have an abortion so they wouldn’t have to answer to it abroad, and so he keep this facade of his children being pure! They are deceitful people and one thing I can’t stand is a lying preacher. My sister is still a member there and she said towards the end of last year they had something called “Steel Sunday” and Shelby told the church they needed money to order steel for a building project and in order to break ground last year they had to raise $50,000. They raised $65,000 that sunday and she says they still have yet to even start that project. Those funds are believed to have gone to maintain he and his family’s lifestyle.
  
Preachers Of Detroit cast member Pastor Don Shelby family is not as beautiful as he would like to portray on television. In fact, he might be the very culprit in the Shelby reality being far different from what they have made it to be for television. Don Shelby obviously loves his children very much like any parent would and would like what is best for them even if it means lying to keep up appearances, but this man has committed one of the ultimate sins to save face and image. At best he is hypocrite, lier, and murder in some instances. His oldest daughter Courtney is nothing, but pure and got pregnant by the guitar player Thaddues Washington. According to my conversation with Pastor Shelby the allegation was true. He admitted to me via the phone that his daughter had fallen in to sin and was with child. However, according to him there werecomplications with her pregnancy and she did not carry the child full term, but in fact miscarried and lost the baby.

  
Church Of God In Christ Superintendent and Adminstrative Assistant quickly called me after preaching a funeral at his church today to share with me what I had heard from two current members and one former member is true. During a very pleasant conversation we discussed the difficulty of ministry and how it was a rough time of him and his daughter that had to go before the church and repent and was even removed from offices she held in the ministry for a time period after it was know she was pregnant. Thaddeus was removed from the church for close to a year and since has come back to the church. Pastor Shelby was most kind in explaining that he had a hard time with his daughter getting pregnant, but was not trying to hide it or protry something that was not true for television. I reminded him that he had to be aware that the moment he signed up for reality TV that this ugly truth was going to come out. Shelby like most men missed the mark and what could have been a powerful element to the show to help young women by being open and honest that Courtney fell from grace he ignored it and here it pops up on Obnoxious!

Earlier today after speaking with Pastor Shelby I thought this topic would never see the light of day, but something would not let me rest until I had talked to Thaddeus Washington to get his side of the story. Just as I thought he told a very different story form Pastor Shelby that was not a nice bed of roses. According to Thaddeus he was excommunicated from Bruning Bush Church Of God In Christ when it was discovered he had gotten the pastor’s daughter pregnant. A very dark and difficult hear it was for him at best. Don Shelby caused his daughter to cut all communication with Thaddaus and took he cell phone and made her shut down all he social media accounts to insure she had no commutation with the father of her baby.

  
Thaddeus expressed he was greatly surprised that Pastor Shelby discussed

the issue at all with me due to it being a very difficult topic to this day for him. He went on to admit that he continued to purse communication with Pastor Shelby and wanted to come back to the church. For an entire year he called,

texted, and sent e-mails until Shelby responded and agreed to meet with him. With very strict guidelines Don Shelby made it clear to Thaddeus what terms he would come back to Burning Bush. Also within the same year he ran into his ex-girlfriend Courtney Shelby at the Detroit Airport, where she worked at the time and they talked. According to Thaddeus Washington, Courtney admitted to him her father made her have an abortion.

“Courtney told me her father made her have an abortion and was even telling

people and other pastors I raped her!” Thaddeus explained.

One of the sources that brought this story to Obnoxious Media also shared the same thing and that was a major topic on all the mouths of the Saints in Detroit when this terrible situation first happened. It seems that Don Shelby forced his daughter to kill his first grandchild to keep up appearances for church folks. Now this is a very serious allegation especially for a Pentecostal preacher to have committed such a horrific act if what Thaddeus claims is true. During a late conversation, (while crying) Thaddeus shared he is currently a member of Pastor Don Shelby’s church and plays the guitar faithfully free of charge to the ministry. None of us would have ever thought all of this was going on in the picture perfect family the Shelby’s are attempting to portray on TV!

John Gibson was a pastor and seminary professor. When he wasn’t teaching at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, one of his favorite pastimes was fixing cars.

He was married with two children. His daughter, Callie, was teaching in front of 250 college students when she got the call. Her father had killed himself.

It was August 24, six days after hackers exposed the names of millions of people who had signed up for Ashley Madison, the notorious site for those seeking affairs. Gibson’s name was on the list.
His wife, Christi, discovered her husband’s body. LISTEN TO WIFE SPEAK ON FINDING HIM
“It was a moment that life doesn’t prepare you for,” she told CNNMoney. “I had to call my kids. How do you tell your kids that their dad is gone and that he took his own life?”
In his suicide note, Gibson chronicled his demons. He also mentioned Ashley Madison.
“He talked about depression. He talked about having his name on there, and he said he was just very, very sorry,” Christi said. “What we know about him is that he poured his life into other people, and he offered grace and mercy and forgiveness to everyone else, but somehow he couldn’t extend that to himself.”
Ashley Madison was hacked in July, and hackers released users’ personal information in August. Since then, authorities in Toronto have said they’re investigating suicides that could be linked to the data dump. Hackers have also sent extortion emails to people who were on the list.
Gibson said her husband was likely worried he’d lose his job.
“It wasn’t so bad that we wouldn’t have forgiven it, and so many people have said that to us, but for John, it carried such a shame,” she said.
Gibson, 56, was known as a great teacher with a “quirky laugh,” but he had struggled with depression and addiction in the past, his family said.
In a statement, a spokesman for Avid Life Media, Ashley Madison’s parent company, expressed the firm’s condolences.
“Dr. Gibson’s passing is a stark, heart-wrenching reminder that the criminal hack against our company and our customers has had very real consequences for a great many innocent people.”
Since his death, his family has made a pact to be more transparent with one another about their struggles.
Christi Gibson has a message for the 32 million people exposed and their communities.
“These were real people with real families, real pain and real loss,” she says. But “don’t underestimate the power of love. Nothing is worth the loss of a father and a husband and a friend. It just didn’t merit it. It didn’t merit it at all.”

Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God……Well, checkout Bishop Trick Daddy Young Boy Booty Licking Eddie Lee Long at what seems to be an all white party.  Now I know that those of us that are Pentecostal we do not party, dance, drink, or smoke, but other denominations do partake in those behaviors and it seems that the bishop does as well.  This past week has been a rough one for the Saints with LeAndria Johnson drinking and cussing to Bishop Long out at what seems to be a questionable party is just a bit much.  If everything is going on in church then what is it we are asking people in the world to come out of to join us.  The Bible says come out form among them, but we are doing everything sinners do in church.  Darkness and light have no fellowship, when light comes darkness has to go.  If you profess Christ and clean then why you want to look nasty?  Holiness is right!  So many have made church look stupid and deplorable, but God is going to have the last say.  You can get by, but you will not get away!!!

Now to all of you that will read this and disagree that is fine you can, but Paul wrote a many letters correcting the early church.  Now no one corrects anyone now.  Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and everyone is a bishop now so anything goes.  Eddie Long brought shame to the church and is to arrogant or stupid to apologize for putting the Body of Christ through that horrible ordeal.  Now it has been a few years and it is back to business as usual and look at him.  I would not have him take my dog to the dog pound, yet alone put my soul in his hands.  Does he look like a man with a prayer life?  He was busted getting his young boy’s nails done and I have even seen him around Atlanta with the same guy to now these photos at some party.  Where was his wife and other individuals?  Last I checked we should not let our good be evil spoken of, but everything is okay these days.
